Get Ready for the 14th Liszt Memorial Prizes Hong Kong International Piano Competition in 2024!

The 14th “Liszt Memorial Prizes” Hong Kong International Piano Open Competition, organized by the Hong Kong International Musicians Association, is set to commence. It will take place in Hong Kong, China, from July 22 to 26, 2024.
This competition has been a member of the Alink-Argerich Foundation (AAF) since 2016. The foundation was co-founded by piano competition critic Gustav Alink and the renowned pianist Martha Argerich.
The competition is held every two years and has successfully run for 13 years. It is open to participants of all nationalities, with contestants under the age of 35 eligible to enter. The competition comprises preliminary rounds and finals. The preliminary rounds will be held in over 200 countries and regions worldwide from January to June 2024.
The finals will feature distinguished jury members, including renowned pianists and composers from both domestic and international backgrounds. Prizes will be awarded to the top five performers in each class, along with special awards such as the “Chu Wanghua Honor Award” and the “Chu Wanghua The Best Interpretation Award.” Winning contestants will receive award certificates, trophies, and a total prize fund of up to HKD 81,100.
Contestants achieving Third Class Award or higher will have the opportunity to apply for certification from the Training Qualifications UK (TQUK) under the regulation of Ofqual in the United Kingdom. The TQUK certificates aligns with the qualification of more than 160 countries and regions around the world, making them globally recognized.
