Cui Shiguang’s piano compositions are known for their fusion of Chinese and Western styles in form and technique, and his works and performances have won numerous awards at home and abroad. His piano suite “Piano Foster” received the first prize at the 1992 New York Behre Piano Associates International Piano Music Competition. It was the only winner among over sixty entries collected from around the world. Cui Shiguang has devoted many years to promoting Chinese piano music.
