Graduated cum laude from the Conservatory L. Cherubini in Florence under the guidance of Maria Tipo, he was profoundly influenced by the fortunate musical environment in which he grew up, rich of encounters with extraordinary musical personalities. La sua formazione musicale, avvenuta in Italia e negli Stati Uniti, \u00e8 stata segnata in profondit\u00e0 dal fortunato ambiente culturale respirato fin dall\u2019infanzia, ricca di incontri con straordinarie personalit\u00e0 musicali, fra cui Pablo Casals, Nikita Magaloff e Rudolf Serkin, il quale lo ha invitato a partecipare al Festival di Musica da Camera di Marlboro e il cui insegnamento ha avuto un\u2018 influenza fondamentale nel suo sviluppo artistico. <br \/>La sua attivit\u00e0 concertistica si \u00e8 svolta in molti paesi europei e negli USA affiancando al suo ruolo di solista un costante interesse per la musica da camera e liederistica. Ha collaborato con il clarinettista Raffaello Orlando, col pianista Luis Batlle, col baritono Leonardo Wolovski, col flautista Alexander Duisberg, con la violinista Veronica Kadlubkiewicz e con vari musicisti dell&#8217;Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. Le sue interpretazioni sono caratterizzate dalla necessit\u00e0 di una ricerca dei significati pi\u00f9 profondi dei repertori visitati, che lo hanno portato ad essere definito un interprete di rara consapevolezza e sensibilit\u00e0 poetica.<br \/>Ha inciso due CD per pianoforte solo dedicati a Franz Schubert editi da fon\u00e8, ed alcune opere liederistiche e da camera edite da Ema records. <br \/>Dal 1979 al 2014 \u00e8 stato titolare della Cattedra di Pianoforte presso il Conservatorio Girolamo Frescobaldi di Ferrara. Il suo insegnamento \u00e8 stato caratterizzato da un&#8217;attenzione per la tecnica strumentale e del suono sempre in funzione di un pi\u00f9 vasto approfondimento dello stile e del significato delle varie opere. <br \/>Negli anni &#8217;70 e &#8217;80 ha spesso eseguito concerti presso l&#8217;Istituto Psichiatrico Osservanza di Imola, dove la straordinaria opera del Dott. Giorgio Antonucci aveva reso possibili simili eventi in un contesto dove erano venuti a mancare i pi\u00f9 elementari diritti civili, riportando una dignit\u00e0 umana dove era stata crudelmente soppressa.
